PT Indolakto (Indomilk) was established in 1967 as the realization of foreign investment and a pioneer in the manufacture of sweetened condensed milk is milk in a modern way in Indonesia.

Together with 200 employees, product development and business continue to be made up to launch other products such as pasteurized milk brands Indomilk in 1970, with butter products and brands ORCHID BUTTER for Golden Churn brand in 1971, ice cream products for the brands Peter's Ice Cream in 1972 , and milk powder produced by the system Indomilk toll manufacturing in 1985.

In 1986 PT. Indomilk obtain the status of domestic investment (domestic investment) after the transfer of technology and capital. The next product that was launched after a change of status is sweetened condensed milk CAP ENAAK.

Sweetened condensed milk in 1988 Indomilk production has been imported by many countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Myanmar, Taiwan, Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

In line with the development effort, Indomilk Dairy Group has spawned several companies with their products along with 2651 employees. Until 2008, Indomilk Dairy Group has overshadowed some of the subsidiary companies and a variety of dairy products as follows:

To strengthen the synergies in corporate entities, then in April 2008 carried out the merger of PT. Australia Indonesian Milk Industries (PT. Indomilk), PT. Indomurni Dairy Industries Limited. Ultrindo, PT. Indolakto and PT. Indoeskrim business into one umbrella, namely PT. Indolakto.

Halal Certificate
In early 1994, PT. Indomilk is the first dairy company in Indonesia that a recommendation to include the label 'HALAL' on all products after meeting the stringent requirements imposed by the Department of Health, Department of Religion and the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) in terms of:

Three Star Food Safety Charter
In March 2007, PT. Charter Indolakto get Three Stars for Food Safety (Food Star Award) from POM Republic of Indonesia for his achievements in implementing the Food Safety Management System based on HACCP, ISO 22000 consistently.

Halal Assurance System
The company set guidelines Halal Assurance System in order to ensure the halal products. Halal Assurance System is an integrated system as an integral part of the company's quality policy, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 22000:2005, GMP, Halal Internal Audit in force in the company so as to give assurance to the consumer or user halal products. Halal Assurance System Guide is set to be understood by all management and employees.
In 2008 and 2009 the company gets Halal Assurance System Status (SJH) from LPPOM-MUI with the category A (Good).

ISO Certificate
The company is very concerned about the quality of products produced and therefore implement a quality management system and food safety and halal assurance system in order to produce quality products, safe, and lawful to meet customer satisfaction.

PT. Indolakto have obtained ISO certification since 2000 until now.

In November 2008 the company certified to ISO 22000:2005 food safety management system includes the process of receiving raw materials, production processes, quality control and storage of finished goods. In October 2009 the company gets ISO 9001:2008 for quality management system applied to the entire factory.
