This group carries Information, Automation, and Optimization terminologies as an organization spirit, where the three of them are the main pillars of information technology solutions development to cope with problems in various fields.
Momentous breakthrough happened when the group was entrusted by Sempati Air to compile Master Plan Airline Management System, as well as realizing it by developing the planned system one at a time, i.e.: Route Management System, Flight Management System, and Crew Management System.
A year after, in cooperation with Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya, this group was entrusted to build the Geographic Information System (GIS) based Integrated Reporting and Disruption Handling System for PT. PLN (Indonesia electricty company). Furthermore, this group was entrusted by PT. PLN to develop an Automated Mapping / Facility Management (AM/FM) system for electric network.
In that time, most PCs had textual based Operating System (such as DOS, etc). Most GIS available are also based on that textual Operating System. Otherwise, the Airline Management System and Integrated Reporting and Disruption Handling System demanded for Windows Operating System based graphical application. It became a challenge to this group to develop components itself as a foundation to develop graphical application modules as well as Geographic Information System to meet the demand.
This is the group that then developed to be Infoglobal.
In 17 years of age, Infoglobal has developed to become one of the foremost information technology solution provider company in Indonesia. Various products and solution services developed by Infoglobal have been accepted and implemented imperially in various government and private agencies, military, as well as local and multinational companies. Infoglobal alumni are mature and superb persons, they are now in government and private agencies, either in national, regional, or worldwide level.
In early 1996, we developed Integrated Customer Information System for PT. PLN Banda Aceh Branch. It was followed by implementation in Solok Branch, West Sumatra and all branches of PT. PLN South, Central, and East Kalimantan Area, including Tarakan. Integrated Customer Information System is an exclusive system for PT. PLN that manages business process, starts from customer to be registration to become a customer, meter reading, account computation and payment, arrears monitoring, bookkeeping, to customer severance.
Nowadays, Integrated Customer Information System has been developed to be more completely than its first version and is using high end technology. Therefore, we change the name to SIL2004. Implementation of SIL2004 has also spread, not only in Nangroe Aceh Darussalam, but also in all over West Sumatra, all over Kalimantan (South, Central, East and West), and East Nusa Tenggara.
On the other hand, Infoglobal penetrated Defense segment in early 2000. At that moment, we started to develop Flight Clearance System to record and track admittance of unknown airplane to Indonesia area. It was followed by the development of TDAS implemented in National Air Defense Command (KOHANUDNAS) and related agencies. TDAS processes data from radar capture, either civil radar or military radar. The captured airplane object data is then passed to Display System to be displayed in real time. TDAS was first implemented in Kosek I and Popunas, Jakarta, then in Kosek III Medan, Kosek II Makassar, and the latest was in Kosek IV Biak in 2006. Thereby, radar captures from all over Indonesia can be displayed integrally and in real time in one display. Integration of this data with Flight Clearance data results in TDAS as a complete and sophisticated national air traffic situation monitoring system.
In 2002, Infoglobal is even counted in Enterprise50 conducted by SWA Magazine and Accenture. We are sure really proud of being in the prestigious list, for there is an acknowledgement for Infoglobal’s achievement and competency all this time.
In the present, the systems we have developed have been widely implemented from Sabang to Biak, from Kupang to Manila.
Based on our experience in developing and implementing project based various systems in the last 17 years, we finally have eminent products that are classified into some segments: Governance, Utility, Energy, Asset, Performance, and Defense. Those segments were born from long history of our well done projects. Many factors influenced us to choose those segments: awareness to get focused on fields which we are experts about, desire to have our global quality eminent products, and economics scale of each segment.
In Governance segment that focuses on providing solution for central and local government institution, Infoglobal has Avesina, a health care information system for company as well as for hospital. To company, Avesina is applicable to manage its employee’s health benefit, i.e.: Medical Record, health benefit claim, and “industrial hygiene” management. While to hospital, Avesina is a complete information system, start from patient registration, outpatient, inpatient, examination, diagnostic unit, pharmacy, medical record, to invoice and accounting. Avesina also has the ability to consolidate and share medical record data with other hospital. We also develop e-government solutions for local government: cMap for urban development and e-Procurement for procurement system.
In Utility segment, Infoglobal has SIL2004 as an eminent product. It is PT. PLN CIS’ version that is based on latest technology for customer service as explained above. Infoglobal also develops eMap - a map based information system to manage electricity distribution network; network asset as well as its electrical connectivity. The system manages network from main guardhouse to customers, and is developed to increase network management operational efficiency. Not even providing GIS based visualization, eMap has the ability to analyze electricity network flow as well as its reliability.
In Asset segment, in 2006 Infoglobal was trusted by MRO Software to be the reseller of a noted Asset Management System, IBM Maximo. As MRO was taken over by IBM, Infoglobal automatically became IBM Business Partner to market IBM Maximo. Even Infoglobal is the first and the only IBM Business Partner that has IBM Maximo Certified resource in Indonesia. Infoglobal is also known as IBM Maximo’s professional resource achiever since it has IBM Maximo authorized/certified trainer. Therefore Infoglobal is allowed to conduct IBM Maximo training in Indonesia as well in abroad. Infoglobal has just conducted IBM Maximo training and implementation assistance in Manila and Brunei Darussalam.
In Energy segment, Infoglobal has Revenue Analyst, Production System, and Drilling System. Infoglobal often collaborates with oil companies to provide professional resource to execute certain projects internally. Especially for Performance segment, Infoglobal provides solutions for employee and corporate performance management, it is Promeasys.
In Defense segment, Infoglobal has developed some strategic systems, i.e.: TDAS as an integrated national air traffic monitoring system, SOYUS wargaming system as a war simulation system in staff and command school, and Digital Video Recorder (DVR) for combat plane and training plane. Infoglobal also develops Radar Digitalization system that converts analog radar data into digital radar data. Meanwhile, in cooperation with foreign company, Infoglobal develops integrated maritime surveillance information system to monitor Malaka strait.
We nourish moral and professional values as part of this company’s culture. Those values are highly respected and headed toward by every individual in the company from lower to top employee level without distinction.
Those values leave from our implementation and performance history track since the beginning and we still keep them up to now. They are:
1. Togetherness. We grow together since our first step, in happiness and in sorrow, in relieve and in strait, and also in long drawn out critical time. We have been through all those times together, shoulder to shoulder arm in arm, thus we are able to grow up now.
2. Honesty. We nourish to tell the truth at work. We realize that all that are covered are similar to carcass; no matter how small, it will appear in the future. We also realize that once we cheat, all those credence we have built will disappear, credence from our clients, users, and partners. And disappearance of credence means death to our business.
3. Trusteeship. Our philosophy in doing our job: “Nourish the System” and not only “Develop the System” starts from this value. We realize that implementing a system is not the same as selling and installing object. System is alive. It grows like a creature and therefore needs touch. If a system is more complex then the uncertainty level is higher. Therefore a system should always be nourished, even like nourishing a baby until he can be autonomous.
4. Professional. We conduct all activities; technical and non technical activities; as maximum as it is possible in accordance with our competency. It is our responsibility to the company and to our customers.
In the next 5 years (2008 – 2013), Infoglobal targeted to penetrate global market and becoming an open company. Certain steps that we are doing and we will do are:
1. Gain ISO and CMM certificate.
2. Develops mass products.
3. Form “business ecosystem” that synergize related parties concurrently; Infoglobal as developer with User, Implementer, Vendor, and Regulator System in a business community that mutually advantageous.
4. Copyright registration for the developed products.
Basically we don’t consider the same business companies as competitors. Since in this completely open system IT, integration of various systems become one integrated system is very possible. Even in many implementations, we are the system integrator of various systems built by other parties. We consider them to be partners better than competitors.
We have a commitment to nourish the systems and not only develop the systems. System nourishment is not just a system development. Therefore, we always commit to implement a system until it runs well and used by clients. No hit and run in our dictionary. We are used to locate implementer or supervisor at our client to assist them to run the system, and evaluate the system if there are any inadequacies or errors, and we are the liaison of clients and development team.
Thereby, our clients or customers are our partners in performing system nourishment. Therefore, our strategy is how to build trust from clients so that they feel more as our partners than just as our clients. We keep the partnership relation tight, even up to emotional level, not just at professional level. Thereby, we set out technical approach more than financial approach; e.g. education process for our client and the equivalent. We don’t pay much attention to consequences we have to take as long as the system runs well and give optimum benefit. We want the system to be not just well implemented, but the system is approach perfect (being mature).
We are technical people who sell service based on technical superiority we have, and not on our skill to pack and promote our products. We follow the philosophy “let the systems sell themselves”. So, don’t be surprised if we promote rarely. Even though several times our profile was published in mass or electronic media, it was them who were willing to cover what we were doing. This is maybe our superiority compared to others.
These values maybe differentiate us to others.
